How to acquire Flux for the above modification requirements.

In order to get flux you have to be inside a nuke blast zone and harvest plants. Depending on the plants you will get one of the following flux types.

  • Raw Cobalt Flux
  • Raw Crimson Flux
  • Raw Fluorescent Flux
  • Raw Yellowcake Flux
  • Raw Violet Flux

You then have to combine flux with other nuke blast zone items that you get from killing the monsters that spawn in the area.

Here is a list of those items:
  • Glowing Mass
  • Hardened Mass
  • High radiation fluids
When you get enough of those items, you have to go a chemisty station and combine with the flux to create the pure verisons.  Note: When you craft these flux's they will be inside your junk tab listed as STABLE, but that also means its in the pure form to be used in the mods.

Vendor Map Guide

Shown here is a map of the major vendor locations in fallout 76 color coded by faction.

If you are planning on selling items to vendors for caps, use this map to guide yourself on all the different faction sellers.  Each vendor has a max 200 cap stash that resets after 20 or so hours. The cap stash is shared between sellers of the same faction. So if you go to the responder's vendor location which is colored orange on the map and sell enough items to clear the 200 caps, all the other locations colored orange will be emptied of caps.

Map Legend:

Name - Color
Brotherhood of Steel - Green
Enclave - Purple
Free States - Blue
Raiders - Red
Responders - Orange
Whitespring - White
Other - Yellow

Additional Information

Vendor inventory is based on the instance, not per character. Meaning if you had two different characters looking at the same vendor at the same time they will see the exact same inventory for sell.

Perks & Drugs that effect selling + buying.
  • Hard Bargain - each rank of this charisma perk helps with buying and selling prices.
  • Travel Agent - a charisma perk card that lets you pay 30% fewer caps when fast traveling.
  • Grape Mentats - +5 charisma and better barter rates for 10 minutes. Increases thirst.
Roaming Vendors

Grahm is a super mutant vendor that roams around the roadways. During your travels around the game world you may bump into him and his brahmin pack mule.  He sells interesting items, plans and has shares cap stash with a unknown faction.

Tips

Here are some easy to acquire items that sell well to vendors.

  • Straight Jackets - these can be found in fort defiance and asylum areas.
  • Mothman eggs - find these at Point Lookout and have the green thumb perk.  Use the eggs to create omelettes to sell at the vendors. Another good perk to have during crafting is super duper which gives you a change to double crafting results.

Load in the holotape system access to get to next objective.

Objective: Collect MODUS' lost data

Go find the next dispenser and collect the data.

Objective: Return the instructions to the Whitespring
